Bi+ Inclusion Scan for organisations

Welcome to the Bi+ Inclusion Scan for organisations, developed by Bi+ Nederland.

With this scan, you can test the extent to which your organisation is bi+ inclusive. Organisations that are truly committed to bi+ inclusion contribute to reducing the monosexual norm and bi+ phobia, and they promote visibility, recognition and space for bi+ people.

This scan is intended for organisations that are already currently dealing with bi+, lgbtqia+, emancipation and/or diversity, but are not specifically an lgbtqia+ organisation. This scan allows you to test the extent to which your organisation is bi+ inclusive. Organisations that are truly committed to bi+ inclusion contribute to reducing the monosexual norm and bi+ phobia, and they promote visibility, recognition and space for bi+ people.

The scan consists of 25 questions divided into five themes: 

  1. Awareness and knowledge
  2. Language 
  3. Norm setting and culture 
  4. Representation and visibility
  5. Services and products

The scan starts with a number of questions to measure knowledge about bi+ topics and inclusive language. The scan then goes into the level of bi+ inclusion in the organisation. Based on these questions, you receive a score at the end of the scan. This score gives an indication of how bi+ inclusive your organisation currently is regarding these topics. To get the best and most reliable score possible, it is best to take your time and really consider each answer honestly. We recommend filling in the scan with several people at once, but it can also be done alone. When several people from the organisation fill in the scan, it is a good idea to discuss the answers and results with each other afterwards.
